Astral keeps 18+ content out of the rest of the space. That is both a legal requirement and a platform rule.
How entry works
- A moderator turns on Mark as 18+ (NSFW) in Channel Settings → Overview. Today that flag exists on text channels only.
- Users below the age threshold cannot see or open the channel.
- Adults get a warning and confirm before they enter. Media in that channel may stay blurred until they open it.
Date of birth is set at registration and cannot be edited in the app. If it is wrong, contact support: How to change your date of birth. Usually only one change is allowed.
What is still banned
Even in an adult channel, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual material, real-world gore, and zoophilia are banned. NSFW in avatars and unlabeled public previews is also banned. Full text: Community Guidelines.
