Your public identifier is an AstralTag: username#tag, for example Marty_McFly#3. Friends add you with that string.
The parts
| Part | Meaning | Rules |

Change your AstralTag
- Open User Settings (gear at the bottom left).
- Go to Profile.
- Click Change AstralTag.
- Enter the new username and, if available, a tag. Click Continue.
The account must be claimed. Otherwise the button is disabled — see How to create an account and sign in.
Tags and Plutonium
Without Plutonium the system picks the tag. If the new name+tag is taken, Astral rerolls a free discriminator for you.
With Plutonium you can pick an available tag such as #0001 or #1337. If it is taken, choose another.
