How to create an account and sign in

Create an account at astraof.com/register or open Create account in the app. You can sign in with email and password or with a passkey.

Registration

The wizard usually has four steps:

1. Email and password. Password must be at least 8 characters. The server rejects passwords that are too common.
2. How friends find you. Display name and username are optional. Leave username blank for a random one; a numeric tag is added automatically. Allowed: letters, numbers, and _, length 1–32. Reserved: everyone, here, and wording like astral / system message.
3. Date of birth. Required for age rules. Default minimum age is 13; some countries are higher (for example 16 in DE/NL/IE/PL, 15 in France, 14 in Korea). You cannot edit the date later in the app — only through support. See How to change your date of birth.
4. Consent to the Terms and Privacy Policy.

After submit we may ask you to verify email. If registration is held for manual review (public beta), redeem a beta code if you have one.

Sign in

Open astraof.com/login:

• Email and password, then Log in.
• Or Log in with a passkey.
• Forgot your password? goes to /forgot. We email a reset link.

If two-factor authentication is on, choose Authenticator App, SMS Code, or Security Key / Passkey. The authenticator code field also accepts a backup code.

From a new or untrusted IP, Astral may email authorize this login. Open the link; use Resend email if needed.

On Android you can enable biometric sign-in for a saved session.

If the account is unclaimed

An unclaimed account cannot be reliably recovered on another device. Open settings and Claim Account: add email and password, then confirm the email code. After that, 2FA, passkeys, friends, and purchases become available.
